The Coming of The Son of Man, or Christ's 'Parousia'
In a recent article we dwelt on Amos 3:6-8, Malachi 4:5-6 and Revelation 10:7 wherein a prophet was promised before the end of the Gentile Dispensation, to restore the apostolic faith and finish the mystery of God.
Our studies showed how the Pentecostal Feast typed the Church Ages which were also divided into seven periods, each having an 'angel' or messenger from God. And the lives of the saints or true Church in each Age were written epistles of the Message of their 'angel' which was the Word for their day.
'But in the days of the Voice of the seventh angel (before the seventh Trumpet calls the Bride to the Wedding Supper in the Sky), the mystery of God should be finished'. This spoke of the Seven Seals which were revealed through the prophet Messenger to the seventh Age to show Christ's end-time Bride Her place in the Word, or Body, and separate Her from denominational unrighteousness.
After the last saint predestinated to the Laodicean or Pentecostal Age was redeemed, Christ's Mediatorial Office was finished. He claimed the Book and opened the Seven Seals, fulfilling Revelation 4 and 5. Then He descended in WORD Form as symbolized in Revelation 10:1-6, and revealed the mystery to His prophet who declared It on earth.
The Seven Seals, preached in March, 1963, are available on cassette tape and in Book Form.
The revelation of the Seven Seals is the second Coming or 'parousia' of Christ. Christians are not looking for the glorified Jesus. That is the second PHYSICAL (or third) Coming, AFTER the destruction of ALL life on earth (Malachi 4:1-3; Isaiah 13:9; II Thessalonians 1:8-9; Revelation 20:5).
The Seventh Seal brought Christ back to earth in WORD Form. The 'parousia' or Presence of Christ is the Fullness of the Word, not a Man. This Coming is UNIVERSAL, so it could not be a Man. Jesus said, 'Do not look for a Man, look for Light. The same Light which shone in Jerusalem will be restored in the west' (Matthew 24:22-28; Zechariah 14:7; I Corinthians 13:10; Revelation 10:1-7).
The Coming of the Son of man, or Christ's 'parousia,' was 'the restoration of ALL things spoken by the mouth of all God's holy prophets since the world began' (Acts 3:21). It was the Fullness of the WORD, which comes only to a prophet. He came in WORD Form through the mouth of the 'Elijah' promised before the great and dreadful day of the Lord, a humble man called William Branham.
In Matthew 24:3 the disciples asked Jesus, 'What will be the Sign of Your parousia'? His reply found in Matthew 24:30 (Daniel 7:13, Acts 1:9-11, Revelation 1:7 and the gospels), was fulfilled on 28th February, 1963, when the Shekinah or Cloud appeared above Arizona, as the head of Christ, wigged as Judge, at least 26 miles high and 30 miles across. Following a vision, Brother Branham prophesied this Cloud in a sermon the previous December.
